With the Chimaera being a group 20 car the immediate assumption is that TVR car insurance is a nightmare. This isn't necessarily the case.

When arranging cover you might like to consider the following when selecting TVR Car Insurance:
Track Days - Does the cover include track days? If so are there any limitations? What's the excess?
European Cover - Does the policy cover trips to Europe? Many charge extra for comprehensive European cover.
It's also worth mentioning if you're a member of the TVR Car Club or if you have a history of driving high performance cars as this may help to improve your quote.

Sport car insurance is never going to be super cheap. Obviously there are many, many variables which will affect your insurance quote. However to give you an idea most limited mileage quotes I've seen come in at between 350 and 1300 GBP. If you're 17 then expect to pay much more!
