TVR Chimaera Car Cover Review

This is a quick review of the outdoor cover that I use for my TVR Chimaera.

The cover itself came from Hamilton Classic and it's their "Outdoor Moltex" cover (size ref: MTSS). It cost around 105GBP including VAT and delivery.

This is the only cover I found that was fully breathable and could be put on a wet car. It's 99.9% waterproof and it has a fleece lining so there's less concern about it rubbing against the paintwork.

Putting the cover on takes about 5 mins, it's elasticated at both ends and there are two straps which go under the car to prevent it lifting in the wind.

I've found it to be very secure, with only the rear section lifting in very strong wind. This can be prevented by passing the rear strap through a wheel.

Taking the cover off is easy, there are pockets to put the straps in to keep them out of the way. It's quite bulky to store but does come with a bag.

Here's a couple of photos of mine in place, this was soon after I bought it and the creases have now gone.
