Instructions

This job is best described in pictures so please refer to the associated photos.

The standard Meta fob has a recess for inserting the metal part of your key.

Open the fob and take the half without the circuit board.

You will need to create an opening in this half of the fob casing for the key to pass through, see photos. This can be achieved by drilling and filing. Do not oversize this hole, it needs to remain tight to help support the key.

The standard key comes with a black plastic cover. Underneath the cover is a small metal T bar. Cut off the black plastic cover from the key to expose the top of the metal T bar, see photo.

The remaining black plastic cover can now be slid off the key. Retain this part of the plastic cover; it will be needed for packing to create a tight fit between key and fob.

Test fit the key through the hole in the fob casing. You will find that you need to file the T bar a little to make a tight fit to the space provided in the fob casing.

When the fit is right replace the retained black plastic and shape to the T bar.

Fit the key to the fob casing and mark the position of the hole where the locating pit on the other half of the fob goes.

Drill a hole through the key to permit the locating pin to be fully inserted.

Refit the key and put the two halves of the fob together.

Job done!
